Scrum Introduction Training – 1 day

Scrum is an iterative, incremental process for developing any product or managing any work. This introductory training is a great start to introduce people to the Scrum framework and the baby steps to bringing the concepts of Scrum to your teams and organization. The goal of the training is to give the participants the essential basics of Scrum and to create a common team vocabulary.


About this training

Within this one day course we cover the essential elements of Scrum. Through the use of practical exercises and numerous examples from real projects, the operation of Scrum is explained. Tips are given on how Scrum can be implemented and the pitfalls to avoid.


Who is the training for?

This course is aimed at anyone interested in Scrum with little or no prior knowledge, but wishes to gain an overview in a compact form.

In particular, this training is designed for team members who want an introduction to Scrum; managers who wish to assess its potential; or any part of an organization that wishes to learn about the Scrum concepts.

In addition, the training prepares you for the two two-day certification training, the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and the Certified Scrum Product Owner Training (CSPO). The training is also suitable as a basis for the Certified Scrum Developer and can be combined with the Agile Developer Skills (ADS CSD) training.

This training provides a wealth of knowledge & experience to bring Scrum to your organization.

Prerequisites

As this course is aimed primarily at Scrum beginners, no prior knowledge is required.

Scrum Detailed Training – 2 days

For Scrum to work effectively great team work is required. This detailed training is a great way for your teams to build an in depth knowledge of Scrum in a group environment. The goal of the training is to give the participanting teams the depth of knowledage and confidence to take their implimentation of Scrum to a new level and begin executing some of the new practisies immeadiatly.


About this training

With a two day interactive workshop we dive into the details Scrum. Through the use of practical exercises and numerous examples from real projects, the details of Scrum is explained. In depth knowledge of how Scrum can be implemented and the pitfalls to avoid are covered and discussed in detail.


Who is the training for?

This course is aimed at anyone interested in a detailed and more advanced level of Scrum, preferably with an existing prior knowledge or workplace experience of Scrum.

In particular, this training is designed for team members who want a detailed knowledge about Scrum so it can really be made to work; managers who wish to know the real details of what it takes for a Scrum team to be succesful; or any part of an organization that wishes to have a more advanced understanding of the Scrum framework.

In addition, the training is an alternative to the certified training. Some organisations and teams do not require all team members to be Certified Scrum Master or Product Owner, but do require their team members to have a detailed knowledge of Scrum. This course provides that alternative, whilst still giving participants the same level of detail and knowledge of the Scrum Master and Product Owner courses.

An understanding of Scrum through the Scrum Introduction Training course (or similar) is preferred, and/or have already been working within an Agile/Scrum environment within your organisation.

User story workshop – 1 day

User stories are an Agile way of handling customer requirements without having to elaborate formalized requirement documents and without having the corresponding administrative overload in the managing and maintaining of them. Agile Mountain runs User Story workshops to allow you to better be able to make use of this technique and to avoid some common pitfalls.


About this workshop

The User Story workshops begin with the theory and background on the concept of User Stories – the most popular and useful Agile requirements capturing technique.

Over the course of 1 day, we run through the theory of User Stories, how they work and then we will develop a case study and apply this learning on the client’s real projects. This workshop embeds the principles of feedback and collaboration within the attendees through both classroom and exercise driven content.


Who is the workshop for?

This course is aimed at anyone interested in, or working within, an Agile environment who wishes to learn how to capture complex requirements in the form of simple User Stories.
